Ms. Knowles' background and professional expertise is first
and foremost in the area of catastrophic case management. Ms. Knowles began work with the largest
and oldest workers' compensation company in Texas in 1982. She worked as a "rehab nurse" managing cases
exclusively with the diagnoses of spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, burns, amputation, persistive
vegetative state and multiple fractures. After moving to Tennessee Ms. Knowles joined a national
company and was later placed in a supervisory role over twelve case managers. Ms. Knowles then became
certified in the field of Life Care Planning and Medicare Set Asides which led to the creation
of her own company. Since then Ms. Knowles has completed hundreds of Medicare Set Asides, cost projections and life care plans. Ms.
Knowles has been a presenter at seminars concerning these specialty areas and has consulted with and assisted
several companies in establishing their protocols and formats in these arenas. Ms. Knowles' prior hospital
nursing background consists of managing a geriatric medical floor and working in surgery for a number of years.
