Ms. Susan Hallenbeck has a combined professional experience totaling
over 30 years in primary, intermediate, and high school classrooms. Ms. Hallenbeck holds a Masters
Degree in Literacy and over thirty hours of advanced professional study. As a presenter at the state
and university level in the use of technology, a certification in Reading Recovery, an AIS teacher, and
recently as a professional development speialist for adult learners for the Broome-Tioga BOCES in Binghamton,
New York, Ms. Hallenbeck uses learning theory to organize learning opportunities ensuring that all participants
become part of the community of learners and walk away with a deep understanding of the subject matter.
Recent professional experience includes teaching year-long professional development for Literacy Leadership
Professionals. Ms. Hallenbeck has been noted in the STANYS professional journal related to the use of
technology in education and has presented to numerous professional organizations.
